About the Alpenglow Dental Dentists

My favorite thing about being a dentist is developing lasting relationships with my patients. I listen to each person’s smile goals balancing health, beauty, and function. Empowering patients to reach their goals and bring out their confidence is incredibly rewarding. Being a dentist allows me to combine medical knowledge, technical skill, artistry, and compassion each day. Each person that comes in is unique and deserves to be treated with the utmost care.
My highly trained, skilled, and compassionate team believes in excellence in care and showing kindness to each and every person who enters our practice.
Education and Continuing Education
I grew up right here in Bend and am proud to serve the community I love so very much with the education I have received. I did my undergraduate work at Corban College in Salem, where I was an All-American scholar-athlete for volleyball. Next, I attended the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, where I earned my certificate in public health and a Doctorate in Dental Medicine. I next completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency through Lutheran Medical. This unique residency was the turning point in my career because I received training that most dentists do not get in dental school alone. In my residency, I gained knowledge and practice that allows me to do specialty procedures as a general dentist.
Since graduating from dental school in 2011, I have taken countless hours of continuing education each year. I am competent and confident in treating patients with special needs, patients with complex medical conditions, and complex dental needs. I belong to the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, the Central Oregon Dental Society, the Central Oregon Peer Review Committee, and Invisalign. I am also trained in sedation dentistry.
Outside the Office

I have a wonderfully patient and kindhearted husband named Matt. His background is in marketing, and he works with local businesses. Together we have two sweet little boys who are the light of our lives!
Outside the office, I am active in the community I love. I have coached volleyball at one of our local middle schools; I volunteer to teach good early habits to even the littlest of patients. And volunteer at the teen youth challenge, where we discuss the devastating effects of poor life choices and oral health. Matt and I are also active members of our church. Together we enjoy playing volleyball, hiking, boating, and just about anything as long as it is as a family.

I started my dental career by attending Central Oregon Community College’s dental assisting program. Then I worked as a dental assistant in Bend for years before deciding to become a dentist. I decided to complete my undergraduate education at Portland State University, receiving my bachelor’s degree in Health Studies with a concentration in Health Sciences. Oregon Health and Science University’s School of Dentistry is where I received my Doctorate in Dental Medicine.
Continuing Education & Professional Leadership
“Having grown up in Bend, I love getting to practice dentistry in my home community!”
After becoming a dentist, I participated in many aspects of leadership within the dental community. I graduated from the Oregon Dental Association’s inaugural Leadership Academy and was elected as a Trustee on the ODA’s board to represent Central Oregon. I have written several blog posts for the American Dental Association and enjoy getting to participate in our local Central Oregon Dental Society. I am passionate about representing the dental field as a young female and loves providing inspiration and guidance for other women in this field.
Outside the Office

In my spare time, I love to spend time with my husband, Nathan, and our three kids. We love to play disc golf, go hiking in the mountains and play at the river. I love a good latte, music trivia, and Central Oregon’s incredible beauty.
